Elke dag bestaat uit ±2 uur online sessie met uitleg, voorbeelden, groepsopdrachten en korte MCQ-vragen om uw begrip te toetsen. De inhoud is gebaseerd op praktijkervaring met data center audits bij verschillende organisaties.

Each day consists of around 2 hours online with explanations, examples, group work and short MCQ questions to check your understanding. Content is based on real data center audits at different organisations.

Scope, ontwerp & fysieke layout

Scope, design & physical layout

Intro: rol van het datacenter in de keten (on-prem, colocation, cloud).
Hoe bepaalt u de scope: ruimtes, locaties, systemen en interfaces.
Belangrijke ontwerpaspecten: white space, MMR, racks, power pads & redundantie.
Fysieke beveiliging: toegang, bezoekers, camerazones, escortregels.
Intro: role of the data center in the chain (on-prem, colocation, cloud).
How to define scope: rooms, locations, systems and interfaces.
Key design aspects: white space, MMR, racks, power paths & redundancy.
Physical security: access, visitors, camera zones, escort rules.

Groepsopdracht: samen een eenvoudige audit-scope en high-level floorplan uitwerken.

Group exercise: jointly design a simple audit scope and high-level floor layout.

Day 2

Power, koeling, operations & monitoring

Power, cooling, operations & monitoring

Power: UPS, generators, schakelinrichtingen, testen en onderhoud.
Koeling: koelconcept, redundantie, temperatuur- & luchtstroombeheer.
Operations: change management, onderhoudsvensters, incidentafhandeling.
Monitoring & logging: wat bekijkt u tijdens een audit en welke vragen stelt u?
Power: UPS, generators, switching, testing and maintenance.
Cooling: cooling concept, redundancy, temperature & airflow management.
Operations: change management, maintenance windows, incident handling.
Monitoring & logging: what to look at during an audit and which questions to ask.

Groepsopdracht: in kleine groepen een incident- of storingsscenario analyseren.

Group exercise: in small groups analyse an incident or outage scenario.

Documentatie, bewijs & rapportage

Documentation, evidence & reporting

Welke documenten bekijkt u: SOP’s, maintenance logs, testresultaten, plattegronden.
Hoe legt u observaties vast zonder “to-do-lijst” te worden.
Bevindingen prioriteren en formuleren (risico, context, aanbeveling).
Korte MCQ-ronde om begrippen en concepten te herhalen.
Which documents to review: SOPs, maintenance logs, test records, layouts.
How to record observations without turning it into a random to-do list.
Prioritising and writing findings (risk, context, recommendation).
Short MCQ round to recap concepts and terminology.

Groepsopdracht: samen een compacte audit-samenvatting en 2–3 kernbevindingen schrijven.
